LA LOM and the legendary Peruvian band Los Mirlos blend their distinct styles to create this rare 45 – each collaborating on the other’s original tune. Side A features LA LOM’s “Luchando,” while Side B has Los Mirlos’ classic song “Llanto En La Selva.”
In the same way that Los Mirlos proudly reflect the region in the Amazonian jungle that they hail from, LA LOM represents their hometown of Los Angeles. They wrote “Luchando” in the summer of 2025 after seeing the way their fellow Angelenos stood up for each other. “We love the people of our city, who have moved from all over the world to make it what it is, and it was truly a special moment to play our song while Jorge Rqodríguez Grández of Los Mirlos cried out ‘Luchando con amor por Los Angeles y Latino America. Arriba los Animos!’”
