Ahmad Jamal’s All of You captures the band’s intimately unique sound live from Jamal’s iconic Chicago nightclub, The Alhambra. Recorded one June night in 1961, the trio features the talents of Israel Crosby on bass and Vernell Fournier on drums. In fact, this recording includes some of the last recordings of bassist Israel Crosby before his untimely death in 1962. In Jamal’s 1962 liner notes, he states that “the acoustics, the piano, the lighting, the atmosphere, could only be conducive to one thing…a happy result and here it is.”
