Featuring unforgettable numbers like "Another Day," "La Vie Boheme," and the immortal standard "Seasons of Love," Rent remains as powerful, urgent, and profoundly moving today as when it first opened in 1996.

Created in collaboration with members of the original company, this definitive edition is presented in an elaborate package inspired by its original album and marketing design. A custom quad book-style gatefold jacket with a premium rigid cover incorporates archival materials celebrating Larson’s life and creative process, with artwork that visually traces the progression of the show. The package also features printed poly-lined inner sleeves and a collectible ephemera envelope paying tribute to the Nederlander Theatre during Rent’s historic Broadway run.

Exclusive to this edition is a deluxe, stitched 24-page booklet featuring full lyrics and an all-new, nearly 20,000-word oral history of the album and its songs. Drawing on 19 new interviews with members of the original cast and creative team—including Anthony Rapp, Adam Pascal, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Idina Menzel, Jesse L. Martin, and Taye Diggs, as well as director Michael Greif and musical director Tim Weil—theatre historian Jennifer Ashley Tepper explores the making, meaning, and enduring life of Larson’s landmark work.
